Your phone gets their name, number, and what they need, plus a reply already drafted in your words. If you leave email confirmations on, the customer also gets a short "we got your message" email from your business.
You reply Y. The text goes out.
Nothing texts your customer until you say so, with one exception you control: a missed call to your Local Lead Closer number gets one short text saying you'll call back (on for new numbers, off in Settings). Questions electricians ask us.
Electrical problems can be dangerous. Should a text be giving advice?
It doesn't. The draft asks safety questions and gathers details. It never diagnoses or tells the customer to touch anything. You decide what to say when you reply.
Does it work for panel upgrades and bigger estimate jobs?
Yes. Estimate requests get the same alert and draft. The AI asks for photos and the address and leaves pricing to you, in person.
Can my apprentice or office person reply too?
On Premium, up to four phones get the alert, and a shared no-login inbox link lets a helper reply from the business number.
Is it legal to text customers back like this?
Yes, when it is done right, and that is how we built it. The text back is a reply to someone who just called or messaged your business about a job, not a marketing blast. They reached out first, so it is a direct response to their own inquiry. Every first message names your business and includes a one-tap STOP opt-out. This is general info, not legal advice.
Will my customers know they are texting with AI?
We never hide it. Replies go out in your own words and under your business name, and we do not pretend an automated message is a live person typing. Most of the time you are reviewing the draft and sending it yourself anyway.
Do I stay in control of what gets sent?
Always. By default you get the drafted reply and send it with one tap, so nothing texts a customer without you. The one exception is the missed-call text-back on your Local Lead Closer number: one short "we'll call you back" text, on for new numbers and switchable off in Settings. Two optional Pro settings can send on their own. Auto text-back sends the drafted reply the moment a lead lands. The backup reply sends one short holding text if you have not answered in 5, 10, or 15 minutes, then pings you to take over. Both are off until you turn them on.
